¿Puedes decir qué significa exactamente qué significa que tienes “u$s 7 millones en ganancias”? ¿Qué % tenías de esos torneos? ¿Cuánto ganaste o perdiste bancando a otros? ¿Cuánto gastaste en buy ins, viajes y gastos de tu vida? ¿Cuánto ganaste o perdiste en las mesas cash?
Como está implícito en tu pregunta, esas ganancias de mi carrera son tendenciosas y depende mucho del jugador en cuanto a cuántas acciones vendió, cuánto gastó en buy ins, etc. Sin entrar en detalles, diría que tuve suerte respecto a tener grandes porcentajes de mí misma cuando gané mucho y no me auspiciaron en mis mayores cobros, aunque cambié y vendí % en algunos de ellos. Yo juego mucho menos que la mayoría de los Pro ya que aprecio mi tiempo libre más que estar jugando todo el tiempo. Diría que gasté en 1,5 y 2 millones en buy ins en mi vida. Luego de los buy ins, están los gastos de viaje (muy caros) e impuestos, definitivamente no tengo ni cerca de usd 7 millones. Pero para mí, esos números de ganancias son como el score de un videojuego más que un comentario actual de la fortuna de alguien.
Pareciste muy sorprendida con el call de Sylvia que terminó el Main Event (al igual que muchos de nosotros). ¿Cuánto estaba jugando Jesse basado en los consejos que le estuviste dando hasta ese momento? En otras palabras, ¿le estabas dando consejos sobre situaciones en las que podía ser más o menos agresivo o era más profundo que eso? Además, ¿crees que la fatiga fue un factor en esa mano o Jesse pensaba que Greg tenía una ventaja enorme sobre él y estaba dispuesto a gamblear grande para tratar de terminar el torneo?
Muy buena pregunta, por cierto. Jesse es un jugador de cash y muchas de las cosas que hizo durante la mesa final, como 5-bets basados en ICM, limpear en ciertos spots o checkear ciertas manos que usualmente apostaría en cash, eran territorio nuevo para él. Creo que jugó realmente bien con relativamente pocos errores hasta las últimas horas. Sí creo que la fatiga jugó un rol predominante en los errores que cometió. Respecto a la última mano, no me sorprendió el call tanto como el juego en general (3betear QJs con esos stacks no era óptimo dada la posibilidad de que Greg decida hacer 4-bet all in light). Creo que Jesse no se dio cuenta que estaban jugando con stacks efectivos de 30 y algo de BBs porque dos manos antes tenían alrededor de 45 BBs y planeaba hacer 3-bet/5-bet all in. Una vez que hace 3-bet y le shovean, creo que tiene que pagar dado el rango de Greg (descontando manos tremendamente fuertes que probablemente 4-betearía más chico).
No quería estar muy encima de él durante la mesa final porque quería que jugara confiado, pero creo que terminé hablando con él varias veces porque yo veía oportunidades y Jesse no las aprovechaba. No me imagino cuán difícil es jugar tanto tiempo 3-handed en el mayor escenario del poker con esa presión. La mayor parte del tiempo le decía que bluffee más y él no lo hacía. Luego se lo repetía, y volvía a no hacerlo. Y luego le gritaba que lo haga y allí hizo un bluff de 3 barrels y estábamos bien nuevamente.
¿Cuál fue el momento en el que pasaste más verguenza en el poker?
Creo que pasé más verguenza en mi mano de QQ en High Stakes Poker, sólo por cuán fea fue. Me puse muy nerviosa por las luces y las cámaras y la crítica de la primera vez que jugaba cash televisado. No había jugado cash hacía un tiempo. Creo que los nervios me ganaron y, lo que debía ser un fold muy fácil me terminó costando 170K.
