Tras algunas semanas de incertidumbre, donde incluso intentamos infiltrarnos y hackear PokerStars para saber de sus planes, por fin tenemos algunas novedades con respecto a la Copa América.
Por estos días, los cerebros creativos de PS se encuentran trabajando en el diseño definitivo de las clasificatorias para la Copa América 2012, que será “el próximo evento on line de importancia que se viene para Latino América”, según afirman desde la pica roja. Afortunadamente, para nosotros, ya tenemos algunos adelantos:
Nombre y fecha: Se llamará American Cup Poker (ACP) 2012 y comenzará a disputarse entre fines de junio y principios de julio. Los días exactos no están decididos, pero según PS es 100% seguro que será dentro del plazo que señalamos.
Países participantes: En principio, al igual que los años anteriores, serían 10 los participantes. La gran diferencia es que Estados Unidos y Canadá no competirán en esta versión (aprovechando el contexto del Black Friday en EEUU, estás eliminatorias serán exclusivamente para hispano parlantes).
Estructura: El número de torneos sería el mismo que todos los años (tres: un freeroll; de usd 1,1; y otro de un valor aún no decidido) y los países seguirían compitiendo todos contra todos cada tres días. La gran diferencia estará en la estructura de ciegas, que aún no está definida.
Final en vivo: La final en vivo será para ocho países y se desarrollará en Panamá, entre septiembre y octubre. Nice, ¿o no?
